Fort Worth, TX — Wednesday, October 28, 2026. A person was killed early Wednesday morning on eastbound Interstate 20 near Hulen Street in west Fort Worth. DFW Scanner reported at about 8:03 a.m. CT that Fort Worth police were investigating a fatality accident there, and that officers had originally been dispatched to reports of a person walking on the highway who, it appears, was then struck by a vehicle. TxDOT Fort Worth posted at about 7:15 a.m. that eastbound I-20 was closed at Hulen Street because of a crash, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported the closure as a major accident. A photo shared by DFW Scanner appears to show traffic stopped beneath an overpass near the Exit 433 sign as the lanes were shut down. Police had not released the name of the person who died, information about the vehicle or driver involved, or a cause as of the early reports.
