Crash Squeezes Northbound I-35E Down to One or Two Lanes at Loop 12 in Northwest Dallas

Dallas, TX — Monday, October 12, 2026. A crash on northbound Interstate 35E (Stemmons Freeway) near Manana Drive and the Loop 12/Walton Walker Boulevard merge in northwest Dallas closed most of the highway during Monday morning's rush hour. TxDOT detected the collision at about 8:36 a.m., and the far-left lane, the two far-right lanes and the right shoulder were closed, according to The Dallas Morning News. FOX 4 traffic reports said at one point only one lane was getting by and all traffic was forced to the left side, with wreckers later working the scene in the two right lanes. Emergency crews responded. The cause, the number of vehicles involved and whether anyone was hurt have not been released, and Dallas police had not commented.
