High-speed chase in Kaufman County ends in Dallas County with two arrests
DALLAS - Two people were arrested after leading deputies on a high-speed chase that started in Kaufman County and ended in Dallas County early Saturday morning.
The chase started at about 11 p.m., when Kaufman County Sheriff's Office deputies tried to pull over a pick-up truck that was possibly stolen, but the driver refused to stop.
The pursuit went up Highway 175 and into Dallas County, before the driver went north on 635 through Mesquite, and then west on Highway 80, into Dallas.
The chase reached speeds of 100 mph after the driver got on I-30, before exiting at Second Street.
The driver then reached the 500 Block of S. Haskell Avenue, before crashing through a fence at a business and hitting four vehicles.
No one was hurt.
The two people in the vehicle were arrested.
