Four people hurt in Dallas when a truck crashes into an I-30 bridge support pillar

Dallas, TX: Four people are badly hurt after their pick-up truck crashed in North Oak Cliff overnight.

Reports say the truck was heading north on Beckley, right under the I-30 overpass, when it crashed into one of the bridge's concrete support pillars.

The front of the vehicle was heavily damaged and the airbags deployed. The driver and three passengers were trapped in the mangled metal and had to be extricated by Dallas firefighters and rushed to the hospital.

Their injuries are serious but no specific conditions have been released. Investigators have not determined why the driver lost control.
