2 dead after overnight crash on I-30 in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police are investigating a crash on I-30 that left two people dead early Saturday morning.
The wreck happened just before 2:30 a.m., when investigators said a motorcycle slammed into the back of a car that was stalled in the westbound lanes or the right shoulder of the interstate, near Alta Mere Drive.
One of the victims was the motorcyclist, who was thrown from his bike. The other victim was a woman who was struck while standing outside the stalled car.
Police said the two victims were then struck by passing vehicles. Both were pronounced dead on scene.
Westbound lanes of I-30 were shut down for several hours during the investigation.
No charges are expected at this time, but the crash is still under investigation.
